Learn how to ski: 3 Resorts, 3 Saturdays, 1 Instructor
You live in Switzerland and you don’t ski? It’s time to learn! Kick off your skiing journey with this unique 3-week beginner course, designed for those looking to learn the basics while exploring different ski resorts.
Over 3 consecutive Saturdays, you'll experience 3 beginner-friendly ski resorts near Zurich, all under the guidance of the same ski instructor. This course offers more than just skiing, it's an adventure where each week you can build confidence in a fresh new environment. Why settle for one resort when you can discover 3?

Saturday 24 January - Hoch-Ybrig
Meet Jo at Hoch-Ybrig, Talstation Weglosen at 09:30. From there, you will take the cable car up to Seebliboden, where the first part of the course will take place in the beginners’ area. On this first day, you will focus on learning the essentials:
- Getting familiar with the equipment and the feeling of gliding on snow
- Wedge braking (also known as “pizza”)
- Slight wedge turning

Saturday 31 January - Flumserberg
Meet Jo at Flumserberg Tannenboden at 10:00. You will have the beginner ticket, which gives you access to all T-bars (D sector) and the chairlift to Chrüz. This should be perfect to practice the skills learned the week before on some blue slopes:
- Wedge turning and weight shifting
- Linking wedge turns
- Controlling rhythm and speed

Saturday 7 February - Brunni Alpthal
Meet Jo at Brunni-Alpthal at 10:00 for the final day of this course. You will receive a full ski pass, giving you access to the entire resort, where you can explore and enjoy the many long blue slopes, and improve your technique even more:
- Pressure and edging variations
- Intro to parallel concept
- Exploring the area together!

Please plan to arrive earlier if you need to rent ski equipment, as the queues at the resorts can be long on Saturdays.

Saturday 31 January - Flumserberg
If you are traveling from Zurich by public transport, we recommend you take the following:
- Zurich HB 08:12 - 09:10 Unterterzen, and cable car from Unterterzen (Talstation) to Flumserberg Tannenboden
- Flumserberg Tannenboden 16:30 - 18: 22 Zurich HB (via Sargans) - depending on the time the course finishes
If you are traveling by car, you can park at Flumserberg Tannenboden.
Saturday 7 February - Brunni Alpthal
If you are traveling from Zurich by public transport, we recommend you take the following:
- Zurich HB 08:27 - 09:56 Brunni SZ, Talstation LBH (via Einsiedeln)
- Brunni SZ, Talstation LBH 16:00 - 17:30 Zurich HB (via Einsiedeln) - depending on the time the course finishes
If you are traveling by car, you can park at Brunni SZ.

What you need to bring
- Ski clothes
- Ski equipment (alpine skis, ski boots, ski poles, helmet, sunglasses or goggles)
- Water and snacks
Equipment rental
You can rent ski equipment at all ski resorts. Please plan to arrive earlier if you need to rent ski equipment, as the queues at the resorts can be long on Saturdays.
The price for this 3-course series is CHF 500.
Included in price
- 3 full days of ski lessons, in a small group (max. 6 participants), with a certified ski coach following up from one week to the other
- Ski passes needed for the course in all 3 ski resorts
Not included in price
- Transport to/from the ski resorts
- Ski equipment
- Lunches and drinks
Insurance
It is the participant's responsibility to get health and accident insurances that cover mountain rescue, including extreme sports. Becoming a Rega patron is highly recommended (CHF 40 per year only for emergency medical assistance from the air).
