Terms & Conditions

1. Organiser

Monkeys Connect (the “Organiser”) legally operates under CK Stories GmbH, an outdoor event company registered in Switzerland.

2. Scope of Services

Monkeys Connect (the “Organiser”) provides organized outdoor activities (the “Events”) to interested individuals (the “Participants”).

By booking or participating in an Event, the Participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Accidents, Injury, and Death

The Participant acknowledges that the Events organised by the Organiser involve inherent risks, including the possibility of accidents, injuries, or death.

The Participant acknowledges that Events may take place on public or private roads, paths, by-ways, and/or other means of access and transportation, and that accidents may be caused by road users, natural events, environmental hazards, or other third parties. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for the occurrence of any such incidents, whether directly or indirectly resulting before, during, or after any Event.

The Organiser and its team members shall not be held liable for any damage to, or loss of, property or equipment, or for any injury to or death of the Participant arising in connection with participation in an Event.

The Participant waives any claims against the Organiser for any loss, damage, expense, injury, or death arising out of participation in an Event, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and to the extent permitted by applicable Swiss law.

4. Medical, Physical, and Emotional Condition

The Participant is responsible for assessing their personal safety and suitability to participate in an Event and for ensuring that they are physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared.

The Participant is responsible for their own judgment, choices, and actions when registering for and participating in an Event.

The Participant must ensure that no medical condition, illness, or impairment prevents safe participation. Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the Participant’s own risk. The Organiser accepts no liability for any aggravation of existing conditions or for any adverse effects suffered during or after the Event.

The Participant undertakes to remove themselves from the Event at any time if they observe any unusual hazard or unsafe condition, or if they feel unable or unfit to continue safely.

The Organiser reserves the right to exclude a Participant from an Event at any time if the Participant’s physical condition is deemed insufficient or if their equipment is unsafe.

5. Insurance

The Participant is responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate insurance coverage for all risks associated with participation in the Events.

This includes, in particular, insurance covering accident, health, liability, rescue, evacuation, and repatriation costs, which may be substantial in alpine or remote environments.

6. Terms of Payment

The full Event price must be paid in full at the time of booking, unless a deposit payment option is made available at the time of booking on the Organiser’s website, in which case the remaining balance must be paid in accordance with the payment terms specified during the booking process.

The Event price includes only those services expressly stated in the published Event itinerary. Any costs not explicitly included — including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, meals, lift tickets, equipment rental, or personal expenses — shall be borne entirely by the Participant.

If a Participant requires transportation or services not included in the published itinerary, all related costs shall be paid by the Participant.

7. Cancellation Policy (by the Participant)

If the Participant cancels their booking:

  • More than 30 days prior to the Event start date: a cancellation fee of 50% of the Event price applies.

  • Less than 30 days prior to the Event start date: a cancellation fee of 100% of the Event price applies.

The Participant may transfer their booking to another suitable person who meets the fitness and skill requirements of the Event. In such cases, the Organiser reserves the right to charge an administration fee of CHF 30.

8. Cancellation or Changes by the Organiser

The Participant acknowledges that outdoor Events are subject to uncontrollable external factors, particularly weather and environmental conditions.

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel an Event due to unforeseen circumstances, operational constraints, or safety considerations. In the event of cancellation by the Organiser, the Participant will be offered either an alternative Event or a full refund. This does not apply to cancellations due to force majeure, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, war, strikes, earthquakes, flooding, epidemics, or other unforeseeable events beyond the Organiser’s control. In such cases, the Participant is responsible for having adequate insurance coverage.

The Organiser has the right to modify the itinerary before or during the Event if deemed necessary due to safety considerations, extreme weather conditions, force majeure, unforeseen circumstances, operational constraints, or concerns for the health, safety, comfort, or enjoyment of the Participants. All such decisions are at the discretion of the Organiser.

Where itinerary changes are required, additional costs may arise, including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, meals, or alternative arrangements. Any such additional costs shall be borne by the Participant and will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.

9. Vouchers

Monkeys Connect vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.

10. Use of Images and Videos

The Participant acknowledges that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during Events by the Organiser or other Participants.

The Participant grants the Organiser consent, free of charge, to use such images and videos in which the Participant may appear for reasonable marketing, promotional, and communication purposes across all media formats.

If the Participant does not consent to the use of such images or videos, they must inform the Organiser in writing prior to the start of the Event. In the absence of such notification, consent shall be deemed granted.

11. Personal Information

The collection and processing of personal data are governed by the Organiser’s Privacy Policy, available on the Organiser’s website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and any related agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.

13. Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Participant may review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time on the Organiser’s website.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend or replace these Terms and Conditions at its sole discretion. Continued participation in Events or use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
