Full Moon Snowshoe Hike & Outdoor Raclette
Leave the week behind and join us for a magical Saturday evening snowshoe hike under the full moon!
As the sun sets, we will make our way up the mountains, enjoying great views of the Central Switzerland Alps. With the landscape slowly disappearing into the night and the full moon lighting our way, this is a hike you won’t forget!
And the best part? Because every good hike deserves good food, we will get rewarded at the end of our climb with an outdoor raclette!
This trip is led by Celine Kahn, International Mountain Leader.
We meet at 16:30 at the Unteriberg, Boden bus stop. After a short briefing, we will distribute the food and cooking equipment among the group before setting off on our hike.
We will start with a gentle climb up to a beautiful plateau with panoramic views. Then, it will be time for the highlight of the evening: a delicious outdoor raclette! We will have a table and a shelter in case of bad weather. After dinner, we will make our way back down to the valley.

WT2 hike - 9.5 km - 350m ascent - 400m descent
If you are traveling from Zurich by public transport, we recommend the following connection:
- Zurich HB 15:12 - 16:31 Unteriberg, Boden (via Wädenswil and Einsiedeln)
- Euthal, Rüti 21:19 - 22:48 Zurich HB (via Einsiedeln and Wädenswil) - depending on what time the tour finishes
If you are traveling by car, you can park here, walk 5 minutes to Euthal, Rüti and take the bus at 16:22 to Unteriberg, Boden. The hike will finish where you parked your car.

Equipment rental
You have the possibility to rent the following equipment, directly from the guide:
- Snowshoes and poles: CHF 20
You will receive an email with a form to fill in a few days before the event, where you can inform us about which items you’d like to rent. These can be paid by cash or Twint on the event day.
The price for this event is CHF 100.

Insurance
It is the participant's responsibility to get health and accident insurance that cover mountain rescue, including extreme sports. Becoming a Rega patron is highly recommended.
